OSHC Educators – Epping (Casual)
Mustard Seed Christian Childcare is seeking Casual Educators to join our new Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service in Epping, launching in partnership with St Alban’s Anglican Church in the July 2026 school holidays.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Christ-centred service that supports children and families within the local community through high-quality care, meaningful relationships, and Christian witness.
About the role
Educators play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for primary school-aged children.
Working as part of a collaborative team, educators contribute to:
- Providing high-quality, play based care
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging
- Maintaining strong child safety and wellbeing practices
- Creating environments that reflect Christian values and care
This is a casual position under the Children’s Services Award.
Prior OSHC or childcare experience is welcomed, but not required.
About you
We would love to hear from people who:
- Have a genuine Christian faith and desire to live this out through their work
- Are passionate about caring for children and supporting families
- Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively within a team
- Can work independently and with a team
- Are reliable, teachable, and willing to learn
- Have prior experience in OHSC or childcare, or an interest in entering the sector.
- Experience in early childhood, education, ministry, or community work is helpful but not
essential.
The following are required (or willingness to obtain):
- Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Prescribed child protection and child safety training (or willingness to obtain)
- Approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and emergency asthma management training (or willingness to obtain)
