Mustard Seed Christian Childcare is seeking a Centre Director to lead our new Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service in Epping, launching in partnership with St Alban’s Anglican Church in the July school holidays.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and mission-minded leader to help establish and shape a Christ-centred OSHC service that supports children, families, and the local community through high-quality education and care.


About the role

The Centre Director will lead the day-to-day operations of the Epping OSHC service and play a key role in introducing families to the hope of Jesus through supportive relationships, community connection, and high-quality care.

This role combines educational leadership, team leadership, operational oversight, and pastoral presence within a Christian environment.

The Director will:

  • Lead and mentor educators within a collaborative team culture,
  • Forster a safe, welcoming and child-centred environment,
  • Oversee the implementation of engaging after school care and vacation care programs,
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, the local church, and the wider community,
  • Support a culture of refelctive practice, professionalism, and continuous improvement,
  • Ensure the service operates in accordance with all child safety and regulatory requirements.

This is a permanent part-time position under the Children’s Services Award.


About you

  • Have a genuine Christian faith and desire to live this out through their leadership and work,
  • Are passionate about supporting children and families within the local community,
  • Have experience leading or coordinating and OSHC or early learning service,
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills,
  • Value teamwork, collaboration and reflective practice,
  • Desire to contribute to a Christ-centred service culture.

The successful applicant will hold (or be willing to obtain):

  • An approved OSHC qualification for any Australian jurisdiction OR NQF approved diploma level qualification,
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC),
  • Prescribed children protection and child safety training (or willingness to obtain),
  • Approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and emergency asthma management training (or willingness to obtain).
